Hi, I am Chitraparna Sinha.
Welcome to my space!
Early on, I realized I was intuitively ambivert, had an observant mind, and a strong ethical compass. These traits significantly influenced my decision to pursue a career in communications.
Communication is behaviour in practice & I invite you to join me in this journey.
The Long Story
One of my earliest learning memories is to gather around the neighbourhood kids or my family members (whoever is available) after school, turn the door of the wooden almirah into a temporary blackboard, and teach. It made me happy and curious.
Surprisingly, I never opted for the conventional path of teaching; instead, when an opportunity presented itself during graduation, I chose the road less travelled (in the era of Nokia 3310 handsets when few households had Internet connectivity) and began my career as a content writer for USA and UK based organisations.
Years went by and I established a successful content communication and consulting business as a solopreneur, culminating in the creation of Lekhak.xyz (Lekhak means “a writer” in Hindi). Lekhak.xyz is an agency that creates written content across business verticals, offers its multilingual repository for voiceover and dubbing services, and engages in international public relations liaising services for enhancing brand visibility. The agency has a globally diverse team of content writers, voiceover and dubbing artists, and public relations specialists.
At one point, I became the Payoneer (India) brand ambassador for 2015 & 2016 and also spent few years as a blogger, running a handful of affiliate and AdSense monetised blogs.
I had accumulated vast experience: cross-border brand relaunch and country growth strategy, communications advisory and consultancy, running digital public relations campaigns, building stakeholder partnerships, content creation and marketing, search engine growth and engagement, community facilitation and engagement, brand voiceover and dubbing, community advocacy, and reputation management – I have had my fulfillment of being a digital solopreneur since 2008!
However, clichéd as it may sound, something was missing. A sense of ennui had swept in unknowingly; I was unable to put my finger on the cause of this growing sense of listlessness.
A call from an ex-colleague changed something. He wanted me to take a couple of classes on preparatory workplace communications for a group of students right out of college. The previous trainer had a family emergency, and he had less than two days to find another trainer. He called me in earnest because I had written the coursework for his institution few years back.
It was like a moment back in time; the difference being that instead of chalk and blackboard, I had a digital whiteboard. Something flipped the moment I started interacting with the students. I hadn’t been this gleeful in a long time. It was the beginning of a 2nd-innings.
I loved teaching, and I upskilled myself as a trainer and facilitator in communications and PoSH from SHRM and HRCI, which are globally recognised accreditation institutions in human resource
(HR).
Training managers and students/early career professionals in communication practices, and training on PoSH compliance are my chosen subjects, along with my continued love for writing.
Education-wise, I did my graduation and post-graduation in English Literature from the University of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia.
When not working, you can find me reading history books, novels, crocheting, exploring photography or staring at the mountain outside my home :)
Thank you for giving your time! Leaving you with a beautiful picture from my home, below.
